Free Skills
When you customize your character, do as you please until you have 1 point left to allocate for stats, or 1 or 2 left for skills. If you have 1 stats point left go to skills and spend one or two points. Go back to stats and it will say you have zero points. Boost something anyway and you'll receive more points!
